Messages from the Coach

I will often stand behind you on the approach or behind it facing pins and talk to you about the line, and offer ways to correct difficulties in playing the condition. I want you to be able to visualize what I am talking about.

Please feel free to come to me as we practice or compete with questions on any topic. I will need you to tell me in your words what you see happening on the lane vs. what you think should be / want to be happening. As we get to know each other it will get easier for us to understand each other and I will be able to quickly give you options, ie;"you can either move left a few boards with your laydown spot keeping target same, increase your speed abour 1/2 mph, or possible ball change"... we can then discuss and pick one to try.

I believe other than some hand position, and possible visual observations of problems most competition coaching will be concerning lane conditions, lining up, ball selections, etc. Most active coaching concerning mechanical aspects will be addressed as Saturday practices, and individual sessions.

Thanks, Coach McCarthy
